Delicious food though crowded the night were there. Definitely worth stopping here for a dinner you'll definitely enjoy

Delicious Afghan..

The only thing good in this restaurant is the place. Food doesn’t taste that great and it’s little but expensive , the customer service is not nice long waiting and also they take the tip by themselves and don’t ask you about it that how much you desire to give tip. When you live nobody care about you and no thanks or goodbye

Not a fan of leaving bad reviews but need to.Food is great if you're ordering from the menu, buffet not so much.Waiters are pretty rude and force a 25% tip on you even though it's a buffet and everything is self serve.Waiters have been consistently rude every time I've gone so it wasn't a one off.Their catering is pretty good though so they deserve some credit for that.

Best Afghani cusine in VA

We went for a dinner and ordered two dishes that each cost $15 and at the end they brought the receipt and it said 55.90 and no details of what is the amount for, usually in other restaurants it’s a list classifying the amounts but these people add the tip by their own which I assume they charged us $25 tip for two people. When I came home my credit card showed two transactions, each 55.90 and this made me take the issue to the court because these people has been doing for long a time and someone should stand up against fraud.

I have called the restaurant in advance and asked if the are serving Karahi. They said they are serving karahi. However, what the brought me was lamb Qurma. Was very disappointing.

Sitting on the corner nestled between Leesburg Pike and Columbia Pike, next door to the newly christened Aldi supermarket, sits a humble restaurant with glass doors and a humble atmosphere that will make you feel relaxed. Allow me to get started with the food. From the fish, chicken and lamb kabobs to the eggplant stew and the pilaf mixed with raisins and sweet carrots. They also have a nice salad bar as well with fresh fruit that is so tasty... It'll make you run for seconds. They also have a stew that has chickpeas, lentils and bits of lamb that is so yummy when you have a cold you swear you'll feel like a kid again. The vegan dishes did just justice as the meat dishes are legendary. Just know this: the hosts and the staff are welcoming and it feels like you stepped in a house being welcomed with open arms. I will truly suggest this place for anyone new to afghan cooking. Check it out, please!

I went here for a party so it was like a buffet and I got to try a variety of food. The food was absolutely DELICIOUS!! Kabobs were delicious!! Pilau was delicious!! Chicken was delicious!! Definitely recommend this place.

Buffet too small, variety ok, staff is great

My husband and I came here on Friday night and both ordered the Kabuli Polao. It was absolutely delicious!!! Meat was soft and tender, and they give this delicious meat sauce as well that goes great with the polao. Portion sizes were huge! A bit too big for me personally, but no complaints. My husband helped me eat half of it. My only qualm is that the restaurant was packed, maybe because it was Valentines Day?, and we did not make a reservation. They had one table left when we came, so we were able to get seats, however it was right next to the door, which people kept coming through and leaving open. It is very cold outside, so we were really cold. We both had to keep our jackets on the whole time, and kept needing to get up because others didn't close the door. I urge those who work here to close the door when they come and go, and maybe put up a sign that lets customers know to keep that door closed.

Nice place with a small selection for lunch buffet ($12.99) but every dish was well done especially the lamb n eggplant. Service could be improved as they did not attempt to refill our water

Love coming here whenever we are traveling from Richmond. Super clean, great food and the staff is always welcoming.

I loved the environment it’s so nice 👍 and elegant. The buffet was great too it reminds me Peruvian dishes. It was the first time that I had eaten Afghan food and I have found some similarities. I highly recommended it.

We very much enjoy the food here. We ordered the eggplant appetizer and the samosas. Both tasted good. Then I ordered the Bamian platter, and my wife a lamb dish. I would have liked the dishes to be hotter temperature wise. Otherwise an enjoyable dinner.

It was my first and last time that went to this restaurant to eat food. The buffet doesn't worth to pay for. The buffet food was not warm, we didnt enjoy and paid for it unfortunately. When you pay for the food, they ask for tip. They say you have to pay tip. It is not good for you. I have been in many restaurants in this area but no one is forcing you to pay tip...I dont recommend this restaurant.

We got the sambosas, veggie platter, and two items off the kabob portion of the menu. Everything was delicious and served with a beautiful presentation. The service was a little bit slow but they were also setting up for a wedding later in the day so this could be why. All in all a good experience and if you’re looking for good Afghani food I’d recommend it.

When I eat kabob Sharman beef I got a rash and stomach pains. I don’t know what they put. By the way Kabul rice and lamb kabob were yummy. I can’t go in the winter because they don’t turn on the heat. That’s why there food is cold. I won’t be eating here again

Quick service, nice atmosphere, flavorful. A plus also is that we went on Thanksgiving with a group and we were helped right away. I have no complaints about this restaurant.

The relationship I had with Bamian was good while it lasted but this last order was enough for me to call is quits. First, my order was tasteless and cold. Second, I was missing items that I paid for. I’m not sure if they have a new cook or what but the quality and taste in their food has gone completely down.

Delicious food. Showed up on Ramadan and the place was empty (oops). The Ramadan buffet looked fantastic. Almost wish we had made reservations for that... Next year we will!

After long day working I came to Bamian restaurant to eat. My mom used to work here. I was only myself hungry and tired. Server said they have private party and he also said they don’t have food anymore. I came at 9.54, they closing at 11. Yeahhh, thank you so much for your kindness.

This spot never fails to deliver. They have fresh food for reasonable rates, there are no long waits even when the spot is loaded.
